Mantrap: Playing BILLY BUDD

An experiment in "doing things with novels" using Ivanhoe in Hunter College's ENGL 399 course

This is an experiment undertaken by members of English 399 at Hunter College in Spring 2016. The course is called “Doing Things with Novels,” and here we are transforming Herman Melville’s novella, Billy Budd, into a game using the Ivanhoe concept originated at the University of Virginia by Jerome McGann and Johanna Drucker, et al., in the early 2000s. We are using the Ivanhoe plugin created recently at UVAs Scholars Lab.
