Audiobook: THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE

Here is an audiobook performed and produced by members of my ENGL 390, “Novel Hacks,” at Hunter College in Spring, 2010.  A group of seven students were assigned the task of choosing a public-domain novel to read aloud, keeping examples from librivox.org in mind and using the work of Matthew Rubery on audiobooks and the Victorian-era history of reading aloud for inspiration.  I was very pleased with the result, both in the sense of the listening experience and the vibrant discussion of orality/aurality and the novel that it inspired.
